What is POP Mail?

The Post Office Protocol (POP) is an application-layer Internet standard protocol used by local e-mail clients to retrieve e-mail from a remote server over a TCP/IP connection. POP and IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) are the two most prevalent Internet standard protocols for e-mail retrieval. Virtually all modern e-mail clients and servers support both.

If you want to receive your Silver Leaf Design hosted email in Outlook or Thunderbird or another email client, you will have to set up your email client with the following POP mail settings:  (you can also auto-configure Outlook through Mail > Add/Remove/Manage Accounts > Configure Outlook in your CPanel)

Outgoing Mail Server: mail.yourdomain.com (server requires authentication)
